Facilities Reopening/Activities Restarting

After extensive and ongoing discussions with BT site management and BT Health & Safety, we’re pleased to be able to let you know about progress around the reopening of some of the AtLAS facilities at Adastral Park. The details are below.

If you haven’t restarted your AtLAS membership yet, you’ll need to do this first, to enable you to access the booking system (atlasleisure.sportsoft.co.uk).

Please contact Darren Barnes, our AtLAS Administrator to do this – via the AtLAS Website Contact Form (select Message For: “AtLAS Administrator” option).

The changes take will place as soon as the booking system is updated. Please keep checking for the activity you’re interested in if it hasn’t yet appeared on the booking system.

BodyTalk Gym

Opening Times/Booking Slots

The gym opening times are returning to 07:00–20:00, Monday-Friday. However, you still need to book to avoid overcrowding and possibly having to wait outside should we have reached capacity. Basically, if you’ve booked….you’re in!

The booking slots will now be available on the hour, and you’ll no longer need to leave the gym between booking slots. Therefore, if you need more than an hour, you can book two slots. Any bookings you’ve already made will be transferred onto new booking sheets and will cover the times you’ve currently booked for.

Weekend Opening Update

We’re still waiting on guidance from BT site management and BT Health & Safety about weekend deep cleaning of the changing rooms. This is still required, but currently there are no housekeeping staff on-site over the weekends. We looked at opening the gym and closing the changing rooms at weekends, but we wouldn’t be able to provide toilet and washbasin facilities if we did that.

Nevertheless, please be assured we’re still working hard to get the weekend opening reinstated.

Sports Hall

Individual Member Casual Bookings

We’re delighted to be able to announce that casual bookings are now allowed in the AtLAS Sports Hall – from Monday to Friday only for now. Unfortunately, weekend bookings are not possible at the moment, for the same changing room cleaning reasons outlined above for the gym.

Please follow these rules to allow us to meet the BT Health & Safety requirements of reopening this facility:

  1. Should you have any symptoms of COVID-19, please do NOT use this facility.
  2. All users MUST book their session using the AtLAS Booking System https://atlasleisure.sportsoft.co.uk/
  3. All sessions require a FULL participants list to be submitted to Darren Barnes, our AtLAS Administrator, to allow AtLAS to meet the track and trace requirements of site management. Please contact Darren via the AtLAS Website Contact Form (select Message For: “AtLAS Administrator” option).
  4. The changing rooms can be used, but please ensure you use the cleaning products supplied before and after use.
  5. Users are required to open both double doors at the start of their booking and close again at the end of their session. This is to meet the ventilation requirements stipulated by BT Health & Safety.
  6. Please use the hand sanitisers and cleaning equipment provided throughout your session and clean down any items of equipment you have used

Tennis Courts

Opening Times and Booking Slots

The tennis courts are now fully open again for bookings. Please follow these rules to allow us to meet the BT Health & Safety requirements for  reopening this facility:

  1. Should you have any symptoms of COVID-19 please do NOT use this facility.
  4. Please use the hand sanitisers and cleaning equipment provided throughout your session and clean down any items of equipment you have used.

Hub-only Bookings

We’ve discussed with site management how to let AtLAS members come on-site from time to time, as they previously did, to meet with ex-colleagues in the Adastral Hub. There’ll now be a booking sheet on the online booking system (atlasleisure.sportsoft.co.uk) for Hub-only visits. This makes a Hub-only visit consistent with all the other AtLAS activities allowed on-site at this time. i.e. it lets AtLAS ‘track and trace’ all AtLAS visitors on-site if needed.

Note: If you’ve already booked to use one of the AtLAS sports facilities listed above (for example the Tennis Courts), you don’t need a separate Hub-only booking if you plan to visit the Hub after your activity.

AtLAS Clubs/Societies Restarting

As well as all of the above, several AtLAS clubs are now restarting their activities, so if you are interested in getting back to your sessions or finding out about a new one, such as Wing Chun, Sailing, Badminton, Keep Fit Classes, Pilates, etc. Please visit the AtLAS website Clubs & Societies pages for more details about the various clubs and societies.

AtLAS Clubhouse

Unfortunately, we’re not able to reopen the AtLAS Clubhouse for now. This is following a recent site management inspection, where concerns were raised about the deteriorating condition of the building. However, discussions are taking place to decide on the next steps. Once we get an update on a solution, we’ll let you know.
