Details for the AtLAS AGM Monday 30 September 2019

The Executive Committee will be proposing two change to the AtLAS Constitution (exact wording to be agreed at the AGM):
- Section 3.4, Guests of Members; to reflect recent agreement with BT, that ex-employees/retirees who continue their AtLAS membership will now also* be allowed to book/accompany guests on site for activities at AtLAS facilities = i.e. as with employed members.
- Section 4.2, Affiliated Clubs; to add an extra requirement for affiliated clubs to demonstrate strategic planning/intention/activity to develop and maintain their membership so that at least 50% of their membership are individual AtLAS members. (This would be reported to the AtLAS Executive Committee via the Annual Return.)
At this year’s AGM we will hold the three-yearly Executive Committee elections for the Chairman and Vice Chairman roles. Also, as our current Treasurer, Steve, was co-opted onto the Committee after last year’s AGM, a formal election for Treasurer is also needed. Your current committee – Carl Chittock (Chairman), Ian Read (Vice Chairman) and Steve Willett (Treasurer) – have all confirmed they are willing to stand again, although in principle any AtLAS member can stand for election.
